The 4 Steps to Health Digestion and Radiant Health


I'm sure you know the common saying, "you are what you eat."

My mom used to say it to me when I was young and wouldn't eat my vegetables and was begging her for a dessert, cookie or candies.

The statement, of course, is true. You are what you put into your mouth.

But, in time, I've discovered that it's only a half-truth.

It really should go like this, "you are what you digestive system can absorb."

I know, it doesn't ring like, "you are what you eat," but it's much closer to the truth.

Your health is directly related to how well you absorb your nutrients, not necessarily the food you put into your mouth.

You could be eating the healthiest diet on the planet, but if your digestion is compromised, then you might be wasting your time.

If your digestion is poor and you're not absorbing your nutrients properly, you aren't going to get the level of health that you want.

That doesn't mean that you should eat pizza and chicken wings and just throw in the towel... that's not what I'm saying here.

My own digestive story is long and convoluted, so I'm only going to share a little with you.

It started when I got bit by a tick in Connecticut.

I woke up one morning and discovered the little critter dug in on the back of my leg with a big red ringed rash around him.

I knew I had Lyme disease. I went to a conventional MD to confirm - and I was correct.

I dialed up two of my trusted colleagues in the natural health world and they both suggested that I take antibiotics, instead of trying a natural approach. I was kind of shocked.

So I hesitated, did some research and finally after some soul searching decided that their years of clinical experience far outweighed the information I found online.

I took the antibiotics for 21 days - doxycycline.

Afterwords, I started to break out with massive acne on my face and back.

I couldn't figure out what was going on, until I started to find (warning: graphic!) large white cotton ball growths in my stool. (I know it's gross. I was shocked too!)

It turns out these were candida yeast growths.

I now had a massive candida infection and it was causing my acne and inhibiting my digestion.

The acne was the worst because being in the health business, I can't really feel too confident when my face looks like a pepperoni pizza.

Even worse, my energy dropped, my skin, hair and nails became weak and brittle, and I would wake up with stomach pain every morning.

I tried dozens of candida protocols and digestion protocols that I was told would work. I also tried to raise my HCL levels because the candida was causing inflammation in my gut that was stopping me from digesting properly.

It took almost 3 years of trial and error to finally get it right and in the process I learned what is the equivalent to a PhD in digestion.

Your small intestine is where many of the nutrients your body needs are absorbed. Allergies, infection, undigested food, and little fiber can cause irritation in the small intestine and hinder the absorption of your nutrients.

This can leave you deficient - no matter how good your diet is! It can also lead to leaky gut, colitis and Crohn's disease.

Step 4: Clean Out the Colon

The colon is where water and minerals are reabsorbed into the body. The colon requires a delicate balance of good bacteria to keep it healthy and functioning smoothly.
