“Why Does This Unique Organic Cinnamon Harvested From a Permaculture Farm in Costa Rica Sell Out In Less Than 72 Hours?”

by Kevin Gianni

You won’t believe your taste buds the first time you taste the best-tasting, organic, fresh cinnamon that we’ve discovered.

I used to think that cinnamon was cinnamon, until I discovered an organic farm in Costa Rica that grows FRESH cinnamon.

I discovered the farm in 2010, while visiting the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.

They were growing "Ceylon" cinnamon, which is a particular kind of premium cinnamon that usually comes from Sri Lanka. But it grew well in Costa Rica because of the climate.

At the farm, we took a tour then were invited to try some tea after our tour.

Our guide handed me a cup of reddish, brown tea.

“Té de canela,” she said. (Cinnamon tea.)

I tried a sip.

It was chilled. It was sweet. It was delicious.

But then I thought it might be too sweet, so I told her that I couldn’t drink it.

She asked, “porque?” (Why?)

I said, “porque tiene azucar.” (Because it has sugar in it.)

She smiled and told me that the bark was naturally sweet and that was some of the magic of Ceylon cinnamon — or “true” cinnamon.

I had never tasted anything like this before, and it was nothing like the commercial cinnamon I was used to, which has a slight bitter taste.

This organic, Ceylon cinnamon was extraordinary.

I was floored that this was true and began to ask her how I could bring this back to share with my friends, family and Renegade Health readers.

Why Does Our Cinnamon Sell Out?

I’ve never heard anyone say anything bad about our cinnamon except...
That when they try to buy it, it’s not in stock!

We order it from a unique, permaculture farm in Costa Rica. The batch you order has literally been
harvested 6 to 8 weeks ago.

We generally sell out in 72 hours every time we make it available, and then we have to wait another 6 to 8
weeks for a new harvest and batch.

- We can only import a small batch at a time, enough for 150 orders.

- The farm is a small product that can only provide us a small amount

So stock up while you can!

This unique Costa Rican cinnamon cannot be purchased in any store anywhere.

Introducing...

The World’s Best Tasting
Fresh Cinnamon

Here’s What Makes Our Cinnamon
Different Than Any Other Kinds
You’ve Ever Tasted

1) It’s Ceylon

The regular kind of cinnamon sold everywhere is called “Cassia” cinnamon. The Ceylon type tastes 200 times better than the regular cassia cinnamon you’re likely used to.

I promise when you try Costa Rican Ceylon cinnamon, you’ll be amazed at the difference in flavor.

I’m still always in awe of how good it is.

One client of ours asked if “magic” was an ingredient in the tea after she took her first sip — it’s just that good.

Another benefit: regular "cassia" cinnamon is too rich in "coumarin," which is a compound with strong anticoagulant properties. If you take in too much of this cinnamon, it could pose health risks.

Fortunately, Ceylon cinnamon has a very low coumarin content.

2) It’s Organic and Sustainable

Most Ceylon cinnamon comes from big commercial farms in Sri Lanka. Ours comes from our permaculture farm in Costa Rica.

Cinnamon farming requires the cutting down of the full tree and many plantations just grow cinnamon trees which is not great for the surrounding environment. They also use pesticides and artificial fertilizers.

The farm we import from has many permaculture practices in place and they grow many different foods and spices all throughout their property.

3) It’s Fresh!

This is probably the biggest difference of all. Most cinnamon you’ll find in the stores have been sitting there or in warehouses for months or years.

When you taste our cinnamon for the first time, you’ll know that it was harvested just 6 to 10 weeks ago! This makes a huge difference in taste that you’ll notice from the first sip of our hugely popular cinnamon tea.

I Didn’t Order Enough!”

I have had the tea but I didn’t order enough! I make tea for my thermos every day. I love to include Ceylon “true” cinnamon when I mix Par D’Arca, Horsetail, Holy Basil and a bit of Dandelion Leaf. I use each one for their special benefits. Keep up the good work. Frank Berg

Which Type of Cinnamon Should You Order?

You'll notice that we offer two types of cinnamon: bark or powder. The powder is the most popular form and is what you'll use in recipes, to sprinkle on cereal, desserts, etc.

The bark is used to make delicious cinnamon tea! Make sure to include a package of bark with your order if you'd like to try out this tea. I love to make the tea and chill it for a refreshing drink that I can sip during the day.

Cinnamon Tea Recipe:

2 ounces = 1 gallon of tea
You can reuse the bark to make more tea

* Place the broken cinnamon bark in a pan of water and boil for 5 -10 minutes.
* Shut off the heat and let simmer for 4 to 10 hours (overnight is better).
* Enjoy the tea cold or hot after meals.

Note: Break the bark into smaller pieces. The better extraction is achieved with smaller pieces, but not powder size.
